From Dry Places to Living Water: Healing the Wounded Heart

When You Feel Unloved, Abandoned, and Spiritually Dry Feeling unloved or abandoned can leave you discouraged, depressed, and spiritually dry—like a desert land with no water. Nothing seems to nourish your spirit. Prayer feels difficult. Hope feels distant. But Scripture reminds us that seasons like this do not mean God has left us. They mean we must intentionally return to the Source. The Bible tells us that the Lord is close to the brokenhearted, even when we cannot feel Him. Healing does not happen by accident. It happens when we seek God, stand on His Word, and take faithful steps forward. Start by Feeding Your Spirit When you feel empty, you must feed yourself spiritually—even when you don’t feel like it. Find at least three Scriptures that speak directly to your situation and meditate on them daily. Listen to uplifting Christian music, praise, and worship. Pray honestly and ask God to help you.
